Comic Book Resources has a shot of three 'Harbinger Wars' covers. Check the article:

"Valiant Entertainment has provided CBR with an exclusive first look at Clayton Henry's interlocking variant covers for the "Harbinger Wars" crossover event between Joshua Dysart's "Harbinger" and Duane Swierczynski's "Bloodshot." Co-written by Dysart and Swierczynski with interior art by Henry, "Harbinger Wars" is Valiant's first crossover, focusing on the connection between the two books that's been building since their respective debuts."

I'll be drawing the new Valiant's first big crossover story.  I'll miss being away from Archer and Armstrong for so long, but I'm very exciting to be handling this big project.  I'm also looking forward to working with Joshua Dysart and Duane Swierczynski.  I'm not quite done with Archer and Armstrong just yet though.  More on that later.

Read some articles:

"The revived Valiant Entertainment has been progressing steadily since the release of X-O Manowar #1 this past May — gradually adding more titles and creators to their publishing slate, as they re-introduce many of their long-dormant properties.

You can probably guess what comes next: A crossover, specifically one between Harbinger and Bloodshot, titled Harbinger Wars.

Teased late last week, Harbinger Wars starts in April 2013 and includes an eponymous four-issue miniseries co-written by Bloodshot's Duane Swierczynski & Harbinger writer Joshua Dysart, with art from Clayton Henry, recently of Archer & Armstrong..."

It's bound to upset some people, but I'm pretty sure 99% of our readers won't be too offended.  Read this Washington post article featuring Fred and myself talking about some of our villains in 'Archer and Armstrong'.  The One Percent!!!

It's got some new art, too!

Here's an interview with Fred Van Lente about 'Archer and Armstrong'.  Some preview pages drawn by yours truly in there too.

On a side note, I'll be at Heroes Con this weekend.  We'll even have a Valiant panel going on Saturday.

'Sup, y'all.

As some of you may have already heard, I'll be drawing Archer and Armstrong as part of the Valiant relaunch this summer.  I was really happy to hear Fred Van Lente is writing.  Fred and I have worked together on a few Marvel titles, most notably Incredible Hercules.

Check out the Archer and Armstrong announcement here:

After a full week of teasers for its "Summer of Valiant," Valiant Entertainment has revealed the full creative teams and solicitation information for its launch titles including the previously revealed "X-O Manowar" by Robert Venditti with art by Cary Nord hitting stores in May and "Harbinger" by Joshua Dysart with art by Khari Evans on shelves in June. Newly announced Valiant creative teams include writer Duane Swierczynski alongside artist Manuel Garcia on "Bloodshot" and writer Fred Van Lente joins artist Clayton Henry for "Archer & Armstrong."

"We've chosen these titles and these creators very carefully and each book represents a whole new corner of the Valiant Universe for fans to discover each month," Valiant Executive Editor Warren Simons told CBR News. "I've got some artists and writers who are thrilled to be launching the new adventures of these iconic characters, and the teams are absolutely knocking it out of the park. Four new books. Four #1 issues. Four new reasons for fans to head to your local comics shop. We're putting our hearts into this."

Hey, everyone!

It's been a while, I know.  I haven't had much art to post.  I've been working on Suicide Squad for DC.  Issues 6 and 7.  I can't post any of that art just yet.  Soon though.

On a side note, I've been trying to create my own website.  Nothing fancy.  Right now it's just a small gallery.  I'll be adding new stuff real soon.  It's claytonhenryart.net.

Making a website is a pain.  If any of you have advice on how to create a proper home page, please don't hesitate to reply here.

Thanks, y'all!

First of all, thanks to all those who've offered advice and given support for my career.  I just thought I'd give an update on my progress.

I have submitted work to a bunch of different toy design companies and animation studios.  I made it into Hasbro's Freelance Access System a few weeks ago (though I've yet to receive any actual work from them).

It looks like I may be getting some storyboard work in the next month or so.  It'll be for advertising which I think is a good way to get my feet wet in that field.

As far as official work goes, I've started working on a project for Sideshow collectibles!  I'm really excited about this because I'm a fan of their products.  And so far it's been fun working for them.

And of course I'm still doing comics work for Marvel.

I'll update and give details when I can.  Thanks for reading!

I'm headed to the San Diego Comic Con for the first time.  No table.  Just walking around meetin people. I've heard it's absolutely nuts in that place.  Luckily, I'll only be there for a couple of days.

So I've been a professional comic book artist for 12 years now.  It's what I always wanted to do for a living, but I'm ready to try things.  On the side, that is.  I've been told toy design is something I'd be good at.  But I'd also love to be a concept designer for video games, movies, or television.  Storyboarding seems like it would be a natural fit too.

If any of you guys have any good advice (especially contact information), I'd really appreciate it.  Feel free to send me a note if you want to keep it confidential or email me at claytonhenry@hotmail.com.

I'm really looking for new challenges at this stage of my career.

First of all, I really did like the Finale.  Very touching.  I love that the "alternate reality" was really a spiritual meeting place some time after they had all passed away.  Some died young.  Some may have lived long healthy lives.  Who knows.

My thoughts on the series:  Everything on the island really did happen.  It was not purgatory.  How else could people die?  How else could the Oceanic 6 rejoin civilization and return to the island 3 years later?  Dharma Initiative, the Others, Widmore, etc.  No way was that all a dream world.

My only nagging question(and it's a big one) is why was Jacob so powerful, yet he was killed so easily by Ben Linus?  He had the power to appear and disappear.  He also had the ability to meet the castaways long before they ever boarded they're doomed flight, yet he was just flesh and blood.  How could he leave the island at will?

I've reached the conclusion that Jacob was just using people in his sibling rivalry against his brother Smokey.  That's the only way those rules make any sense to me.  It's just a game to them.  Jacob is just trying to get the best of his brother and vice versa.

What do you guys think?

What the HELL, Sony!?!

I tried to log onto Netflix last night with the PS3 and got an error.  I woke up this morning to find out that Sony is recommending that we "fat PS3" owners are instructed to keep them off for a day to see if this internal clock problem fixes itself?!?  You better hurry, Sony!  I need my Netflix!...then again I also have a slim PS3.

Rant over.

I don't do too many comic cons, but I've noticed there are A LOT of Star Wars fans in costume, but I can't remember the last time I saw a Trek fan dressed up.  Why do comic conventions attract so many SW fanatics, but not Trekkies?...or Trekkers...whatever.

I did a 2 page sequence for 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' and their trip to Comic-con.  The segment will air on Monday night's show.  Be sure and check it out.  I'll be posting the artwork here afterward.

Man, I haven't posted in a while.  My life is so different now that I watch my 15 month old daughter during the day.  I just don't have much time to update with new art.  Also, I haven't done anything really worthy of showing you guys.  I should have some good stuff for you soon.

I've finally started working for DC after all these years.  I'm currently doing some Legion of Super Heroes stuff that will appear in Adventure Comics #2 and continue monthly from there.  The first story centers around Lightning Lad and his brother Lightning Lord.  It is co-written by Geoff Johns and Mike Shoemaker.

Lastly, y'all can see me at Heroes Con later this week from June 19 - 21.  It will be my first time at the show.  I hope it's great, because I'm giving up an invitation to drive the new BMW M3 with dual-clutch transmission in order to attend the con.  Sucks that they were both scheduled the same weekend.

Anyway, back to work.
